Groove: 33 Rarities and B-Sides Join the Archive

33 new tracks land in the Monkey Radio Archive — rarities and b-sides from DJ Krush, Lamb, Mez, and the Japanese release of Geogaddi. Also: a hard call on K&D’s “1995.”
33 new tracks have joined the Monkey Radio Archive station…and the hunt is nearly over.
Most of this batch is rarities and b-sides, the stuff that takes the longest to run down. Highlights include:
- DJ Krush
- Lamb
- Mez
- Boards of Canada (tracks from the Japanese release of Geogaddi )
With this addition, only 8 known tracks remain to be added…plus the three mystery-tracks that continue to defeat every search (see Most Wanted).
One step back: K&D’s “1995”
Not all the news is additive. After a review of the available evidence (including the newly rediscovered 2005 tracklist) Kruder & Dorfmeister’s 1995 has been disabled in the radio rotation due to insufficient evidence of play.
As covered in the review and The Sources, the album’s provenance was always suspect: released in 2020 (years after the station went dark) and attributed only via the fan-made Spotify playlist. It’s great music, and it absolutely fits the vibe, but with its release date and not a single track appearing on any canonical tracklist it’s going on the “probably wasn’t there” list for now. If evidence ever surfaces, it’ll be back in a heartbeat.
Enjoy!
