Most Wanted
The last Monkey Radio track that has so far defeated every search: a station-exclusive mix, lost media, a ghost with no album behind it.
Much of the rotation has been tracked down. This one hasn’t.
This is a track for which I only have a story: no label, no Discogs entry, no storefront. It’s a station exclusive, lost media, or both….and every lead I’ve chased has so far hit a wall.
If you recognize this one - know the artist, remember the mix, or (best of all) have a copy - please ping me on Reddit. Even a half-memory might be the thread that unravels it. Here’s everything I’ve managed to dig up so far.
LeBlioux of sacreBLIOUX — “Pimpin2k1 Soundtrack” (San Francisco)

A Canadian? DJ, circa 2001, who turns up in old trip-hop forum threads but has no formal release data anywhere I’ve found. The track lived as a custom mix at monkeyradio.org/pimpin2k1/ for a bit. Last.fm knows the name (10 listeners, 84 scrobbles, most of them surely Monkey Radio listeners) but nothing else: no wiki, no tags, no leads.
As far as I can tell, this was never a commercial release at all. It appears to be a station-exclusive DJ mix (specifically, a recording of the DJ playing for the station creator’s party in 2001). For a while it was mirrored on the station creator’s personal website, but that’s long since gone. No album, no storefront, no sourcing path.

A capture of the old download listing at badmofo.org/mixes shows the Pimpin2k1 soundtrack wasn’t alone, either: it sat alongside four other LeBlioux mixes (“BLIOUXblood,” “Blue Butt Monkey 2 - Return of Cmos,” “luvletta,” and “bliouxmonkey”), all hefty 40-76MB files, all seemingly gone.
Update, August 2026: one of those siblings has resurfaced! Thanks to a helpful redditor, I now have a copy of luvletta.mp3 - tagged “luvletta (for kla)”, dated 2002, with the album listed as An evening with Kristal. Proof that these mixes are still out there. The hunt continues for the Pimpin2k1 mix!

The one live sighting I’ve turned up: a January 2003 “upcoming shows” post has LeBlioux spinning at NASA in Toronto, which aligns with current georgraphical guesses. Additionally, the dates suggest that the Pimpin2k1 Sanfran mix was recorded prior to said party, so LeBlioux didn’t technically even need to be at the event.
Got something on this one? Reach out on Reddit. I’ll update the hunt notes (and the station) the moment a lead pans out.
